A nurse is on call between 8am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday.

You need to make your own transport arrangements from and to home. At present, respite users dine in their own apartments and supply their own food during their stay. Every effort is made to assist you with your shopping, subject to the availability of staff and our minibus.

Respite survey March 2005

In 2005, after operating the respite service for nearly two years we decided to send out a questionnaire to each of the sixty-one people who had used the service so that we would have a clear idea of how well it was operating and what improvements we might make.

Forty-one people returned completed survey forms and we now have an excellent idea of how well we are responding to needs.

 Of 41 respondents:

  • 24 people said they had an 'excellent' experience in respite;
  • 13 people said they had a 'very good' experience in respite;
  • 3 said they had an 'average' experience;
  • 1 person said it was a 'bad' experience.

We are now looking at the replies in detail and we will take whatever action is needed to make sure that our service is second to none and that everyone who uses it is delighted they have done so.
