Ardkeen is easily accessible by bus, car or taxi and is located only 2.3 miles from Waterford City on the Dunmore Road R683.

Coming from Limerick, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Carlow, Dublin or Wexford

From the N24 Limerick, N9 Dublin - after you have crossed the railway crossing you come to a roundabout - go straight through and continue on that road until you get to the Railway Station roundabout, turn 'right' to cross over the bridge to Waterford City and follow instructions as from Plunkett Railway Station below.

From the N25 Wexford New Ross road when you come to the roundabout take the first exit (left) and follow instructions as from Plunkett Railway Station below.

From the Railway Station

From Plunkett Railway Station cross over Rice Bridge keeping to the left lane. Turn left at the end of the bridge into the City Centre.

Continue along The Quay and turn left at The Tower Hotel traffic lights on to the R683 following signs for Dunmore East. Continue straight on until you come to a fork in the road (Newtown School entrance gates) and take the left fork, follow that road to a 'flat' roundabout, taking the first exit (left). Continue for about half a mile and you are now in Ardkeen, turn right at the first roundabout and this brings you into the main Ardkeen shopping area.

From the Bus Station

If you arrive by bus: from the Waterford Bus Station, Merchants Quay exit the station and turn left towards the City Centre along The Quay.

Continue along The Quay and turn left at The Tower Hotel traffic lights on to the R683 following signs for Dunmore East. Continue straight on until you come to a fork in the road (Newtown School entrance gates) and take the left fork, follow that road to a 'flat' roundabout, taking the first exit (left). Continue for about half a mile and you are now in Ardkeen, turn right at the first roundabout and this brings you into the main Ardkeen shopping area.

From the South or West
N25 - Cork Road

Take the last exit (turn right) at the 'Waterford Crystal' roundabout, take the second exit (straight through) on the Superquinn roundabout following signs for Dunmore East. Go straight through the next roundabout, traffic lights and Folly (church) roundabout. At the top of the hill go straight through the lights, at the T-junction turn right, continue straight until the next 'flat' roundabout, take the second exit (straight on). Continue for about half a mile and you are now in Ardkeen, turn right at the first roundabout and this brings you into the main Ardkeen shopping area.
