Member Terms and Conditions of Use 

By joining the Ardkeen Online Community Server you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to abide by these, please do not join the community server.

 1. Ownership - This community server is the property of the authority from which you received your username and password. The registering authority for Ardkeen Online is Waterford City Council. Content placed by you on the community server remains your property; the registering authority claims no copyright or other ownership. You may edit or remove this material at will, always subject to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Content - You may publish text, images, sound files and other forms of content (as supported) on the community server. All content that you publish on the community server must be yours. Material that is owned by third parties, or subject to copyright, must not be published on the community server without the explicit written permission of the copyright holder or owner. This includes text, images and sound files from third party Web sites.

Content that is offensive in any way must not be published on the community server. This includes, but is not limited to, obscene, pornographic, insulting, racist, defamatory, and discriminatory material, in any form - text, images, sound files or other media. Links to websites that contain such offensive information must not be published on the community server.

The decision of the registering authority as to what constitutes offensive material shall be final.

3. Maintenance - Waterford City Council reserves the right to discontinue the provision of the community server. All reasonable efforts will be made to provide timely warning of such loss of service. However, the registering authority is not responsible for backing up or saving any material placed on the community server. You are strongly advised to keep your own backups of any and all material posted on the community server.

4. Abuse of Service - You are given access to Ardkeen Online community server in good faith. Any abuse of the facilities will lead to your suspension and/or permanent removal from the community server. Such abuse includes the publication of offensive material, publication or linking to computer viruses or other forms of electronic attack, interfering with the sites of others hosted by the community server, attempts to undermine the security of the server or to affect it's day to day running, and any other activity deemed by the Waterford City Council to be abusive in nature.

5. Third Parties - Websites hosted on this server may contain hyperlinks to external web sites operated by third parties. Waterford City Council has no control over the content of external sites and is not responsible for their content. The inclusion of a hyperlink to an external site does not in any way constitute an endorsement of the external site content by Waterford City Council or endorsement of such site's products or services.

6. Images - Uploading an image to the community server indicates that you accept that it will be visible to the entire Internet and also that you have read and are in compliance with the Community Server Terms of Use.

7. Personal Details - Providing personal details to the Ardkeen Online Team indicates that you accept that we may use these details to contact you by phone, post or email with details of events, training opportunities and newsletters from Ardkeen Online. Your details will not be provided to any Third Party nor will we send SPAM to your email accounts.
