Children's Book Festival 2005
It's that time of year again, when the library service holds the annual Children's Book Festival!!! This year promises to be another fun-filled series of events running from the 5th - 31st October. As well as the Author Visits, this year we also have Music, Drama, Storytelling Face Painting & Mask Making, Jelly Bean Julie, African Drumming and Animal Magic Shows. Design a Christmas Card Competition!!                                    This year Leisure Zone are sponsoring a 'Design a Christmas Card Competition' in conjunction with Waterford City Council Library Service. All entries must be accompanied by an official form and closing date is Monday the 7th November. **FREE** Introduction to the Internet Classes
Book your place now on the Ardkeen Online free 'Introduction to the Internet' Training Sessions running for the month of October and November in Ardkeen Library. Sessions (lasting about 2 hours) will be run throughout October and also during November. Anyone interested in learning about the Internet can sign up for these classes at Ardkeen Library Main Desk. Christmas Festival 6th -13th December
A fun filled week of events and entertainment provided by members of the Ardkeen Online Website and hosted by Ardkeen Online Team, Waterford City Library Service and Waterford City Council will begin on Tuesday Evening the 6th December in Ardkeen Library and will run until the 13th December. The week begins with the launch by WLRfm's Roddy Cleere and some 'Festive singing from Hooks and Crookes' in Ardkeen Library. Fun competitions for Adults and Children with sponsored prizes from members of the Ardkeen Online Website, talks from a variety of guest speakers and craft displays will run all week. All are Welcome, full event times and details in the November Newsletter.
