Tutors

Help is also available through the library for adult literacy tutors, with induction tours and a notice board to allow the promotion of their services. Each of three Library branches (Central Library, Ardkeen and Brown's Road) also holds material to promote and assist literacy amongst children.

Resources include RTE's "Read, Write...Now" TV series on video as well as simplified novels by popular authors. Non-fiction items (how to look for a job, spelling etc.) are also available.

For information on becoming a Tutor with the Waterford Adult Learning Scheme contact Joann Geraghty Adult Literacy Organiser (Tel: 051 854444). Application forms for tutors are also available in all library branches.
