Membership

The Branch Membership as part of a national membership recruitment drive, carrried out a leaflet distribution in John Robert Square, for the past two Saturdays.

Local Labour representatives, including Brian O Shea T.D, Cllrs Seamus Ryan, Jack Walsh, and John Ryan, Branch Sec. participated in a very successful exercise.

Against a backdrop of the Waterford Labour Party Banner, over 1000 leaflets were handed to members of the public. Of major significance was the interest shown by them and their willingness to engage in discussion and express fortnight views on a range of topics of concern to them. Their anger towards the incompetence of the F.F/P.D government was very much evident.

We received real encouragement by the interest shown by the local youth, and the Party intends to build on this. A sub committee has been part of it's remit will be to focus on youth recruitment. We await with keen interest it's proposals.
