Hi everyone! This section is dedicated to any questions or queries relating to Harry Potter, the books, the site or what ever, which you may want to ask about Simply email me them here and I’ll do my best to answer them as fluently as possible and to the utmost of my ability.
Hopefully if I get enough I’ll be able to turn this section into a proper FAQ part of the site.
1. What are Hermione's parents names? (question submitted by Aoife) I'm afraid they havn't been given any, or at least I can't find any which are mentioned thus far. The only thing we know about Hermione's parents are they are both muggles and both dentists. Hermione's middle name is Jane though so I suppose its possible that she may have been given her mothers first name for her middle name, but this is only a guess. _ __________________________ 2. What is Professer Flitwick? Man or Beast? (question submitted by Aoife) Professor Filius Flitwick is: 'human but with a dash of goblin ancestry – something like a great, great, great grandfather.' (question submitted by Aoife) How Jk Rowling designs her wands for some characters relates to how the Celts Assign different trees to different parts of the year, with realtion to the birth date of Jo's Characters. Ron and Hermione's wands were designed in ths fashion, just like Harrys. Hermione has a vine wood wand with dragon heartstring at the core(according to Jo's site). Ron's wand according to the prisioner of Azkaban is 14" made of willow and contains one Unicorn tail hair but on Jo's site she states that Ron's wand is made of hand of Ash. But for me i think the book's got to be taken as having the correct answer on this matter. Heres a chart which outlines the different types of wood with relation to different times of the year according to this Celtic categorisation system. (question submitted by Aoife) She was originally going to hav a younger sister, but Jo decided not to include her in the book so Hermione became an only child. 5. Who's going to die????!!! Voldemort or Harry????!!!! (question submitted by Aoife) *Hehe* only Jo knows the answer to that one and she rightfully isn't letting on, maybe neither will die in the end! ______________________
6. What kind of owl is Pigwidgeon? (question submitted by Aoife 27-04-05) According to the Lexcion, Pigwidgeon may be a Scops owl (which can be seen here) although this has never been confirmed by Jo (I think). ____________________________________________________
7. What does Draco's Father, Lucious do for a living? (question submitted by Aoife 11-05-05) I'm fairly sure Lucius doesn't work and simply lives off his vast wealth which he probably inherited from his parents (in a similar way to Sirius inheriting the Black family fortune) although it's mentioneed in the chamber of secrets that Lucius was a school governor (a post he no longer holds) but I'm fairly sure that school governors don't get paided in the real world.
